Who I Am
I am an old man...

...but not too stove up or cranky yet.
I've seen a lot of heaters and coolers since getting into this trade down in Santa Barbara circa 1979. Cut my teeth toting tools for the journeymen at Art Grossman and Sons, then at Mainland Heating and Cooling. My mentors introduced me the art and to tricks of the trade while SMACNA and the Local Pipefitters Union taught me the science and theory. My first contract work was with Motel 6 Corporation, but a great opportunity came up in '85 with the Santa Barbara Unified School District and I jumped onto that sure thing. |
Linda married me in 1981 after I passed the intensive vetting process. Our family began in '83 when Daniel arrived, and grew again in '86 with Kevin.
By 1988 we had concluded that a home in Santa Barbara was a goal that did not mesh with our main priority: family.
By September of '88 we were packed up and moving to Auburn. By April the following year we had planted our family tree... the roots now thirty years deep into the clay and hardpan beneath.
